As long ago as 2003 teleologica worked with the States of Jersey Planning Department to digitise a huge range of materials and guidance for online access extending from the register of historic buildings to protected trees. Authorised users at the department were provided with familiar tools that could be used to directly update and maintain the content in a controlled way whist enforcing a consistent style. Our work included an innovative notification system that attracted national interest from other local government departments. This feature allowed members of the public to simply highlight areas of interest on a map and receive automatic notification of planning applications in the area.
