Integrating Driver and Vehicle Administration in Isle of Man

In 2007 the Isle of Man Government selected teleologica to supply a vehicle registration and licensing system. This flagship project in the Isle of Man e-government programme had many features in common with the DVLS and LICAR projects and each jurisdiction has continued to benefit from the three way synergies that have been facilitated.  In contrast to Jersey and Guernsey the Isle of Man also levies an annual vehicle duty which is handled by DVAS.  In the first implementation vehicle duty was collected at post office counters and processed by means of a sophisticated interface between post office systems and DVAS.  More recently we have developed a facility to enable motorists to pay vehicle duty online.  Automated insurance checks have been developed to pave the way for online renewals.

The service from teleologica was commendable and they were able to meet the project needs in terms of product, delivery and support. The solution delivered substantial benefits in terms of customer service and streamlined user processes.
